Start you journey at the rural trailhead in Deal, PA.  Only a two mile bicycle ride from the Big Savage Tunnel.  The longest tunnel on the Great Allegheny Passage at a length of 3,294 feet.  On your way there, cross over the Eastern Continential Divide, the GAP's highest point.  Enjoy the most scenic part of the Great Allegheny Passage without the climb from Frostburg, Maryland.  The GAP winds along Flaughtery Creek as you pedal toward Meyersdale.  Enjoy both the  909 foot long Keystone Viaduct and the 1,908 foot long Salisbury Viaduct as you take in the sights along the Casselman River on your way back to Rockwood.
